Sports Luxe Trend

Fanatics are the leading online retailer for everything sports specialising in apparel. They have loads of pieces that could help with your game day style especially their huuuge hat’s range specialising in baseball hats. They gave me the inspiration to create a “Sport’s Luxe” outfit and I have pieced together some awesome clothes to do this.

I had a google of some outfits in the “Sports Luxe” style and got loads of ideas. The “Sports Luxe” trend is described as being modern, comfy and cool. The clothes could very easily be used as work out clothes. They feature a lot of sweat pants which are so comfy to just chill in. I am a big lover of sweat pants! There’s a lot of cool trainers and jackets, it’s quite a chilled style.

After collecting my ideas I created an outfit of my own. Here’s what I came up with:

First of all I chose the New York Yankees beanie from the Fanatics range. I think the tie dyed grey and white adds texture and a small detail to the outfit. I’m also a big fan of beanies! It is $22.95 which is about £14.87.

I then chose a crop top from Urban Outfitters. I chose the Onzie Elastic Crop Top in Navy which is £38. I love the design on the back, it makes a plain blue crop top so much more interesting and unique.

As a jacket I chose the Bellfield Logo Baseball Jacket from ASOS. This has a RRP of £35 but is currently being sold on ASOS for just £11.50. The colours of the jacket were the colour scheme I was going for the whole outfit. While looking for ideas I found that baseball jackets are a popular item for the trend and I think they really suit it. Personally, I think baseball jackets are really easy to style and are so comfy to wear so they were a must have for me in this outfit.

As I said earlier, sweatpants are a big part of the trend. So, being a lover of them myself, I just had to include them. I chose these Space Dye Joggers from Topshop which are £30. The price is on the higher side but Topshop joggers are always good quality and if you live in them like me, then maybe you could splurge out on them. The grey and black fit into the colours I was aiming for and I think the black waistband makes the joggers not clash with the crop top.

Finally for shoes I chose the Nike Air Max Thea’s in black. These are very pricey at £85. I really like the look of them and think they complete the outfit. The whole outfit is quite monotone which is what I was going for and the shoes represent that.

So there you have it, my “Sports Luxe” look. What did you think? Do you like the trend?

Remember to check out Fanatics and their baseball hat range!
